Burger Bliss: Exploring the Unique Flavors of myBurgerLab and Other Hipster Eateries

MyBurgerLab is known for their unique and trendy black burgers in PJ. The burgers at myBurgerLab are recipes that they found online and then tweaked to make them their own. They offer quirky and delicious options that cater to even the pickiest of hipsters. The buns are black and filled with tasty ingredients, served with a side of fries and chili mayo if you opt for the set. The hype on social media led us to try their food and we found that they cater to food enthusiasts like us who appreciate good food.

“I have a fondness for black buns and I cannot deny it…”

Back in 2011, we initially reviewed a group of three ambitious individuals who decided to start selling burgers that would appeal to food enthusiasts. Despite having only enough money to last for 6 months, their plan was to attract customers with a unique black bun burger and generate buzz through word of mouth. This strategy proved successful as customers flocked to try their burgers, and years later, they continue to thrive as one of the top burger joints in town. Co-founder Ren Yi ensures that he hires enthusiastic and dedicated staff, which is reflected in the quality of their food and service.

Recently, we revisited myBurgerLab to enjoy another delicious burger experience. For those unfamiliar with this restaurant, we suggest trying out five of their signature burgers to truly understand what makes myburgerlab special. The chefs at myBurgerLab are constantly innovating and improving their burger-making techniques, such as using a flame torch to rapidly melt cheddar cheese for a quicker serving time.

On the top right, there is The Bomb burger which consists of a Cheddar Beef Burger with Sriracha sauce and a Sunny Side up Egg. It is similar to the one you can get at Ramly’s but even better. The left burger is called Bulbasaur, inspired by the green Pokemon. It is a fried chicken burger with green salsa, seaweed mayo, cheddar cheese, and an egg on top. Although it is heavier to eat, it is very tasty. It is said to be great for Pokemon trainers. Overall, both burgers have a balanced taste and the grilled chicken in The Bomb burger is particularly delicious.

The burger at the bottom caused a lot of chaos and attention. It is called the Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang Burger, which is essentially a fried chicken burger with sambal, egg, onions, chopped ikan bilis, and a delicious rendang sauce. It has a rich and spicy flavor, making it enjoyable to eat. The burger at the top is MBL’s version of the In-N-Out Burger, featuring a beef patty with double melted cheese and topped with mustard sauce and a secret sauce. It has a delicious beefy taste that we also enjoy.

The Ultraman burger at myBurgerLab is also a standout choice. It features a grilled chicken patty topped with Ayam Burger and Salted Duck Yolk, creating a mouthwatering combination. The burgers at myBurgerLab are known for their soft buns and juicy patties, with a unique twist on classic flavors. The burgers are not oversized but just the right size, often referred to as sliders in the US. The sides are kept simple to complement the burger’s taste. Prices for burgers start at around RM18, with an additional RM7 for fries and drinks. If there is no queue at night, it may mean they have sold out of burgers. Customers can enjoy free-flowing drinks and a fun atmosphere with their meal.
