Indulge in guilt-free Roti Canai at Valentine’s, with a light and crispy texture that is perfect for a late-night snack.
“Fluffy and delicate roti!”
I prefer my roti canai to be crispy and slightly fluffy underneath. While there are many places in Klang Valley that serve this kind of roti canai, Valentine holds a special place in my heart.
Their snack is made with a crispy and light texture, making it feel less guilt-inducing when eaten at night. It is satisfying without causing bloating. However, the downside is that it is so delicious that it is easy to eat two without hesitation, along with another snack like nasi lemak bungkus.
Valentine is the son of the restaurant owner and he is known for his gentle and calm demeanor. He learned how to make their special roti from his father. When we talked to him that night, we were lucky to see him toss the roti for us and even his employees stopped to watch him. He handles the dough with precision and care, tossing it with ease and style. It’s like watching a skilled artist at work. I couldn’t resist ordering the Roti Tissue or KLCC, which was delicate and crispy, comparable to any high-quality pastry.
Recently, the owners transformed their small hut into a more formal shop and expanded their menu to offer typical Indian coffee shop dishes such as fried items and soups. However, their specialty remains the roti, which is highly popular among customers.
Feel free to indulge in their Roti Valentine, an upgraded version of a roti sardine with added vegetables inside. This dish would make a satisfying dinner option, and they also offer other variations of roti such as Roti Kaya, Planta, and a flavorful Masala Roti filled with seasoned potatoes.
I personally enjoy the sup ayam and sup kambing from their menu. They are filled with aromatic spices that are strong enough to leave a lasting impression. Just picture yourself enjoying them on a chilly evening!
Valentine Roti is a type
