The Ganga Cafe in Bangsar offers a vibrant and colorful dining experience for customers.
I recently visited The Ganga Café in Lorong Kurau, Bangsar after missing out on the opportunity for a few months. My father-in-law recommended their food, mentioning that they used to be located in Lucky Garden before relocating to Lorong Kurau.
The price for the brunch buffet is RM16 per individual.

I was intrigued by the unlimited Sunday buffet that is available from 10am to 3pm. During the week, you can choose from a variety of flat breads with curries and dhal, as well as vegetarian banana leaf rice from the a la carte menu. The Sunday buffet, priced at RM16, includes a limited selection of dhal and curries, vegetarian dishes, fried pakodas, flat breads, and rice.
A variety of flatbreads and rice dishes.
Fried bread, potato and cauliflower curry, black lentils, lentil soup and cumin rice.
All the food at this place is self-service, so you just take a metal plate and fill it with whatever dishes you like. I chose jeera rice, two types of dhal, aloo gobi, paneer, and lentil curry for my plate. The dhal dishes were rich and delicious, especially when paired with the fragrant jeera rice. They use a variety of spices in their dishes, even in their beverages. For example, the beetroot juice I ordered was slightly sweet and had hints of spices. I found the peppery notes in the drink to be quite intriguing.
Full of fragrance and bursting with taste!
Drink made from beetroot and a yogurt-based drink with mango
For a more reliable option, you could go for the mango lassi priced at RM7. They are very generous with the amount of yogurt and fruit they put in, making the drink thick, smooth, and naturally sweet from the mango. The fried dishes are also delicious. On my last visit, they offered onion pakoda, Manchurian pakoda, and sago vada, which were all very tasty. My father-in-law usually buys the onion pakoda for dinner, but it tastes even better when eaten hot at the café.
Crispy treats
Fried onion fritters, Manchurian fritters, sago fritters, and khandvi.
The dishes are free from MSG, artificial colors, and preservatives, so they rely heavily on spices for flavor. Eating here didn't leave me feeling bloated or thirsty. The rice is very filling, so if you have a small appetite, consider getting a smaller portion to save room for flatbreads and dessert. The homemade masala tea has a hint of sweetness and pairs nicely with the meal.
Delicious custard
There's no better way to finish a meal than with a refreshing
I definitely plan on coming back for another visit! 🙂
Overall, the atmosphere was rated at 5.5 out of 10, the prices at 6.5 out of 10, and the food at 7 out of 10 specifically for vegetarian options. In conclusion, the food was deemed tasty and fairly nutritious. The reviewer did not experience feelings of bloating or thirst after finishing the meal.

Are Mango lassi and Tea priced separately from the RM16 total cost?
You will have to pay extra for the mango lassi. However, the masala tea is already included in the buffet. Have a great time!
Have you ever tasted their Chocolate Samosas? They are delicious. I'm curious to know if they still serve them.
I haven't seen them yet, but I will keep an eye out for them now that you have mentioned it. 🙂
