The Flavors of Malaysia: A Culinary Journey Through Traditional Dishes and Street Food Favorites

3 Budak Gemok offers a spicy and flavorful dish consisting of Ayam Masak Kicap, Nasi Panas, and their signature Cili Gesek. It has proven to be addictive, as many fans have attested to.

“Spicy and vibrant!”

Three family members with a strong presence in the food industry in Kuala Lumpur decided to open their own shop. They enlisted the help of their sister-in-law, who created the recipe for the popular Ayam Masak Kicap and Cili Gesek. The dishes are simple yet so delicious that they leave you craving more with every bite.

The Ayam Masak Kicap is prepared and fried in small portions every day to ensure it is always served hot. It is coated in a special sauce made from onions, ginger, and various secret spices. The sauce is simmered slowly for 2 to 4 hours until thickened, then poured over the freshly fried chicken. Just looking at it will make your mouth water.

The meal would not be the same without a generous portion of The Cili Gesek! They say the flavor of this chili is described as “pedas berdesing!”, which means a slow burn that lasts a long time. They use three different types of chilies – Cili Kampung, Cili Thailand, and Cili Vietnam, all fried with onions and garlic to enhance the aroma. Then, the chilies are ground by hand using a traditional pestle and mortar.

You can’t go wrong with a plate of hot rice and all the delicious ingredients. Give it a try today!
