Chequers TTDI offers a delicious menu item called Fried Chicken & Waffles. The restaurant was opened in 2014 by two brothers, Terence and Tim, who have a passion for waffles. Their main focus is on creating both sweet and savory waffles. The idea to open the restaurant was inspired by their family tradition of enjoying waffles made by their mother every morning. The brothers believe that the taste of waffles made by their mother is unbeatable, which is why they strive to make their waffles just as good at Chequers TTDI.

If you are a huge fan of waffles, then Chequers on a Waffle is the perfect place for you. They offer a wide variety of delicious waffle options that are sure to satisfy any craving you may have.
Upon arriving at Chequers, we wasted no time in ordering 4 different varieties of waffles. The first one we tried was the classic Fried Chicken and Waffles, which had a Malaysian twist with turkey ham, mozzarella, cheddar, honey mustard sauce, and cheese sauce on top of handmade garlic and scallion waffles. The combination of flavors was amazing and even though there was a lot going on, everything worked well together. It’s definitely a must-try for first-time visitors.
Moving on, we decided to try the Mexican Fried Chicken & Waffles. This dish is a bit lighter but still flavorful, featuring a Jalapeño and Corn Waffle with freshly fried chicken, Honey Glazed Bacon, Grilled Capsicum, and Tomato Salsa on the side. It has a Tex-Mex twist to it. The combination of flavors is delicious, but be warned, it’s quite filling and savory so it’s best to share with someone else.
Following the delightful chaos, we suggested trying the Pulled BBQ Beef Ribs Waffles. This dish is one of the most filling out of the four options, with savory ingredients like onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms, all topped with a generous portion of tender and flavorful Pulled Barbecue Beef Ribs. The ribs are marinated in a secret seasoning and marinade, adding to their mouthwatering taste. This dish is perfect for meat lovers, as the rich flavor of the ribs shines through and the waffle serves as a delicious base for all the flavors.
We’re not finished yet! Lastly, let’s talk about the Melting Moments dish. It’s a unique twist on a classic waffle, featuring a Chocolate Chip Waffle topped with Hand-battered Pisang Goreng and Vanilla Ice Cream. The combination of crispy waffle, fluffy Pisang, and creamy ice cream is sure to satisfy your cravings.
